Building with clay blocks is cost efficient in several ways: Clay blocks allow a quick and flexible construction of a massive building envelope – that saves both time and costs. Recent studies confirm, that clay block masonry is more economical, compared to timber frame and concrete structures, this is shown in the comparison on the left.

Especially when built in monolithic construction, without additional insulation, wind and weather, heat, frost and also insects are not able to damage the wall. Comparing masonry built with clay blocks to AAC blocks shows that clay block masonry has higher compressive strength with equal thermal conductivity and wall thickness.

For external load-bearing walls with equal thermal conductivity, the load beacring capacity of clay block masonry is 88% higher, which makes clay blocks the ideal building material for single family homes as well as multi storey buildings.
